Travel, Restaurants & Things to Do

Traveling to Houston is easy, with two major airports in the city:
Once you arrive, you’ll find renting a car, or using ride share services like Uber/Lyft will be easiest.  Note: the hotel does charge a daily fee for overnight parking in the garage.
There are many nearby dining options for guests a the Royal Sonesta.  Simply use the interactive map to the right to explore nearby options.

Conference Safety and Protocols

At CU Intersect, your safety is important to us.  Our conference will be following all state and local guidelines for indoor event safety, as well as hotel policy.  Read below the latest guidelines, as well as what the hotel is doing to keep their guests safe. 
Note: at this time, the City of Houston, Harris County, and State of Texas have removed restrictions on mask mandates and social distancing.  We encourage all attendees to do what they are comfortable with, and expect all attendees to be respectful of the opinions and preferences of their peers.

Important Dates for Sponsors

  • April 15th, 2022: Register all sponsor participants
  • May 1st, 2022: Provide any speaking topics, speakers, session descriptions and logos to our team
  • May 17th, 2022:
    • Sponsor Logistics Call at: 12:30pm ET (Invites via Email on 4/19/22)
    • Sponsor Logistics Call at: 1:30pm ET (Invites via Email on 4/19/22)
  • June 15th, 2022: All requests for power & A/V for sponsor exhibits must be submitted to hotel (CC [email protected])
  • June 30th, 2022: Registration and attendee change/swap-out deadline
  • July 8th, 2022: Sponsor, speaker & attendee ‘First Look” documents emailed
  • July 11th, 2022: Our team provides links to download “Event Capture” lead app
  • July 14-16th, 2022: Sponsor materials, booths, kits to arrive to Sonesta (see instructions on A/V sheet)
  • July 17th & 18th, 2022: Sponsor load-in
    • 5pm – 7pm July 17th or Before 7:30am on July 18th
  • July 20th, 2022: Sponsor strike & adjourn
    • 11am – 2pm July 20th
  • July 22nd, 2022: All materials shipped out / picked up from the Sonesta (see shipping notes section below)

NOTE: The Sonesta is no longer on standard daily routes for FedEx and UPS.  Sponsors shipping prepaid labels will need to schedule a pick up of their materials.  Sonesta will move materials from the Exhibit Hall to the Loading Dock.

Floor Plan Layout & Booth Numbers and Assignments

 

**NOTE: All ‘booths’ come with a standard 6-foot draped table and two chairs.  Pipe and drape is only installed between booths 19-29 in order to prevent a back-to-back setup.  Power request forms were required to be submitted directly to the Sonesta with payment information by 6/30/22.
